The Caribbean reef shark has a robust hydrodynamic body that can be between 2 and 2.5 meters in length. It feeds on a large variety of reef fish, crustaceans, cephalopods, and some rays. In this dive, there is a 100% chance of finding them. The number of sharks can vary since they are wild, but the average is between 20 and 25. Can you imagine the feeling of being surrounded by them? Luckily, they are totally harmless!

Discover the sunken ship El Águila

El Águila is one of the best shipwrecks in Roatán.
This 210 feet double-decker cargo ship sailed between Puerto Cortés in Honduras and the island of San Andrés.

It sank near the Utila cays. In 1997, it was rescued and moved to Roatan, where it was sunk again (considered as the great event of the year for diving scene).

With the incredible power of Hurricane Mitch, it cracked despite being 30 meters under the water, thus opening its interior to us divers.

To this day, the boat is in perfect condition and rests on a sandy bottom full of hard corals and garden eels up to 100-110 feet deep. This boat with its spooky atmosphere is famous among divers for having a special charm - especially for underwater photographers.

You will have the opportunity to dive in the best reefs of the Bay Islands.

The dive trip to Cayos Cochinos starts with a first dive in Roatan Bank (the best diving point in the Bay Islands), where you can find more variety and more vibrant coral than anywhere else in Honduras.

After the first dive, we will go to Cayo Grande where we'll take a break and change equipment. Afterwards, we'll team up and go on the second dive. For this dive you can choose between a sunken plane or Punta Pelicano (highly recommended dive point with large schools of fish). Both of these sites are unforgettable!

Once the dives are finished, we will go to the island Chachahuate.
This is a beautiful island that hosts a small Garífuna community. It's full of life, and you can immerse yourself in the culture and enjoy the great kindness of its people. In addition, due to their location, the Garifuna live on a diet of fresh fish and seafood, which we will of course sample.
